The pace-setting global Islamic society, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), has joined the international community in commemorating the International Day of Charity, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, social justice, and the welfare of humanity. The occasion provides a fitting opportunity to celebrate the society’s enduring legacy of compassion, generosity, and impactful interventions that continue to uplift individuals, families, and communities across Nigeria and beyond.
A shining testament to this commitment is the remarkable work of the NASFAT Agency for Zakat and Sadaqah (NAZAS), the society’s flagship charitable and social intervention platform. According to the General Manager of NAZAS, Alhaji Morufdeen Adelotan, the agency has over 12 years distributed charitable support valued at almost ₦1 billion to beneficiaries through zakat, sadaqah, educational assistance, healthcare interventions, economic empowerment programmes, humanitarian relief, and other life-transforming initiatives. This outstanding achievement reflects NASFAT’s dedication to translating Islamic principles of charity into measurable social impact.
The celebration further highlights NASFAT’s consistent investment in programmes that promote dignity, inclusion, and sustainable development. Through support for indigent students, widows, orphans, vulnerable families, and aspiring entrepreneurs, the society has continued to demonstrate that charity is not merely an obligation but a powerful instrument for building stronger and more prosperous communities.
