Information has it that the Actor passed on this morning after a brief illness
The family of the veteran Nollywood actor announced his passing in the early hours of Friday, October 23, 2026.
According to a statement shared via his official verified Instagram page @francis.duru, the actor died after a brief illness.
The statement reads:
"We, the family of Francis Duru, regret to announce his passing following a brief illness. We appreciate your prayers, love, and understanding. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen"
This comes about two years after the actor lost his youngest son, Ifeanyi, in 2024.
