As Nigeria attained 64 Years of Independence from the British Colonial Masters today,the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin local government, Engr Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh has joined the country in celebrating the milestone,while urging Nigerians to continue to support the Reforms initiated by the Incumbent president,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,as they are targeted at repositioning the country for greatness
The council Chairman in his independence day message issued by his media office and personally signed by him thanked God for the grace to witness the 64 years of independence, despite the several battles , especially the military interregnum,which he said retarded the progress recorded in the first and second Republic
Engr Buraimoh prayed for more strength and support for the Incumbent,so that his twin reform of subsidy removal and floating of the naira will generate the desired impact in the polity
He enjoined Nigerians to continue to endure and support the initiative as the president is on the path of getting the nation back on track for development and progress
In his words " I am glad to join fellow patriotic Nigerians to celebrate this milestone of the 64 years of flagged independence of our great country .64 years in the life of a nation is a significant one and I must salute our founding fathers for the sacrifice and dedication to the country,which led to the attainment of independence 64 years ago. No doubt,the unnecessary intervention of the military in our body polity really affected the pace of progress envisaged by our founding fathers, but we are on the path of progress with the Incumbent president as his goal is total transformation of the country"
