The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) has urged intending pilgrims to conduct themselves as exemplary ambassadors of Christ and the state during their pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
Speaking at the 2024 Pilgrimage Service of Dedication, The Board Secretary, Mrs. Yetunde Gbafe, emphasised the importance of pilgrims being their brothers' keepers, participating fully in the exercise, and focusing on the spiritual aspect of the pilgrimage.
Gbafe commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his support and guidance, while also encouraging pilgrims to continue intercessory prayers throughout their journey.
Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), offered prayers for a safe journey and advised pilgrims to be focused, united, and prayerful to have a meaningful encounter with the Lord.
The First Lady, represented by Very Reverend Bukola Adeleke, encouraged pilgrims to see the exercise as an opportunity for spiritual rejuvenation and faith uplifting and to pray for the peace of the state and country.
The LSCPWB will airlift Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land on December 22.
