NIGERIAN WOMEN LEADERSHIP AND EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE 2025: FFS FEMALE OFFICER RECEIVES AWARD

 




In recognition of her great work and outstanding contribution to the growth of female officers in the Federal Fire Service, the organizers of the Nigerian Women Leadership and Empowerment Conference 2025 have honored the National Coordinator of the Federal Fire Service Female Officers, ACGF Ijeoma Achi-Okidi, with a prestigious award.  


The award presentation took place today at the NAF Conference Center during the Nigerian Women Leadership and Empowerment Conference 2025. The event was organized by the House of Representatives Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development in conjunction with the Nigerian Women Magazine. It featured the unveiling of a compendium, award presentations, and a dinner ceremony.  



The award also recognizes ACG Achi as the first female Assistant Controller General in the Federal Fire Service. It further highlights the efforts of the Controller General, Engr. Jaji O. Abduganiyu MIfire.E, in promoting gender inclusion and supporting women to thrive in their careers as firefighters.  



The event was graced by several notable dignitaries, including First Ladies from Ogun State, Kwara, and Kaduna, as well as the  Deputy Governor of Ogun State. Additionally, the First Lady of Nigeria was well represented by her delegates, emphasizing the importance of female empowerment and leadership across the nation.  


This recognition of ACG Achi Ijeoma Okidi serves as an inspiration to female officers nationwide, encouraging them to pursue excellence and leadership within the Federal Fire Service. Her achievement is a testament to her dedication, commitment, and pioneering spirit in a traditionally male-dominated field.
