OBA OLUGBENLE GRACES IJANNA-YEWA CHIEFTAINCY CEREMONY AND 20TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY OF OMOLA OF IMALA LAND

 



His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu Ilaro, Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, and Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas, was the Special Guest of Honour at the installation ceremony of Chief Taiwo Oketogun as the Balogun of Ijanna-Yewa, by Oba Adigun Tajudeen Adeshina Ogunbiyi, the Onisare of Ijanna-Yewa, held earlier yesterday, 17th May, 2025.


The installation was attended by Oba Lukman Olalekan Kuoye, the Olu of Imasayi-Yewa; Oba Azeez Akinpelu, the Oja of Agosasa; and Oba Engr. Oyebanji Adetunji Olowobese, the Oloja of Oja-Odan Yewa, all of whom played significant roles in the rites of installation.



In his remarks, Oba Olugbenle congratulated Oba Ogunbiyi and the people of Ijanna-Yewa on the installation, expressing optimism that the town would witness accelerated development. He encouraged the newly installed Balogun to work closely with the Onisare to champion peace and sustainable growth for the benefit of the entire community.



Continuing his royal engagements, Oba Olugbenle proceeded to Imala, where he graced the 20th Coronation Anniversary of the Omola of Imala Land, Oba (Apostle) Moses Adelani Adegboyega Olabode. The celebration, held at the St. John’s Anglican School Playground, was a well-attended and colourful gathering. 


In his goodwill message, Oba Olugbenle commended Oba Olabode for two decades of impactful reign and dedication to peace. The Paramount Ruler urged him to continue in his noble path and prayed for more wisdom, strength, and long life on the throne.
