The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, May 27, and Thursday, May 28, 2026, as public holidays to mark Eid-ul-Adha.
A statement by Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Magdalene Ajani, says the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo congratulates Muslims in Nigeria and the diaspora, describing Eid-ul-Adha as a festival that reflects sacrifice, obedience, and compassion.
He urges Nigerians to use the period to pray for peace, security, and prosperity in the country.
Tunji-Ojo also calls for unity, peaceful coexistence, and sober reflection during the celebration.
