Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, has urged Public Servants to support the State Government’s efforts towards maintaining a cleaner and healthier environment.
Agoro made the call during the July edition of the Walk for Fitness Exercise held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, on Saturday, 4th July, 2026.
He encouraged Public Servants to actively participate in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise, emphasising the importance of proper waste disposal and discouraging indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
According to him, maintaining a clean environment is essential to preventing the spread of diseases and ensuring a safer and healthier State for all residents.
The Head of Service also commended Public Servants for their unwavering commitment and consistent participation in the monthly Walk for Fitness Exercise.
Earlier, a Health Educator from the Ministry of Health, Miss Adenike Adenuga, stressed the importance of regular handwashing and adopting healthy hygiene practices.
She noted that healthy hygiene remains one of the most effective measures for preventing cholera and other communicable diseases, urging Public Servants to prioritise their health and well-being.
The monthly Walk for Fitness Exercise is part of the Lagos State Government’s initiative to promote healthy lifestyles and enhance the overall well-being of Public Servants.
