The General Manager, Lagos Traffic Radio (LTR), Tayo Akanle has been recognised and decorated as LASHMA Champion for leading the Agency to implement the Executive Order of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the mandatory Social Health Insurance Scheme, Ilera Eko for all residents of the State.
Speaking after the short ceremony in his office, Mr. Akanle commended the initiative by Governor Sanwo-Olu and the LASHMA, led by its Permanent Secretary, Emmanuella Zamba for the thoughtfulness, enhanced service delivery and the benefits of the scheme for residents of the State.
The LTR Boss pledged continued partnership with LASHMA in creating awareness and education for residents on the benefits of the scheme.
''We continue to appreciate LASHMA for this recognition, I must also acknowledge the effort of Mr. Governor, especially the order that he signed, The impact of that sign-off cannot be overemphasised and that is why we comply 100%'' Akanle said.
The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health Management Agency, LASHMA, Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, who was represented by the Coordinator, Regulations, LASHMA, Mr. Tosin Awosika, appreciated Lagos Traffic Radio for compliance with Mr. Governor's Executive Order, signed on the 16th of July, 2024.
According to Dr. Zamba, the Agency complied with the four main areas identified in the Executive order for compliance, including enrolment of all its members of staff, adding LASHMA's URL on its website, among others.
The Permanent Secretary added that a Certificate will also be presented to the Agency by the Head of Service in the near future, urging the Station not to rest on its laurels.
